Configurable Nano Patterned Polar Surfaces for Molecular Pattern Formation and Transfer

 

Unlike past microelectronic systems that have employed optical lithography for the integration of physical thin films of semiconductors, metals, and insulators, we propose to self assemble monolayers of molecules onto nanopatterned polar surfaces and provide controllable and selective nanoscale interactions for nano printing, molecular dynamics and dielectric response, and patterned chiral molecular arrays for optoelectronic response.
